Illustration 12 - As Long as we're together - Research

I watched the music video for the song and began to look at how the use of colour and composition has been used in a cinematic way. 

I find it interesting how theres often a clear link through the use of design and fashion used in the video to the nature of the illustration used within the design of the album cover. i need to keep this in mind when coming to design my own cover.

I'm a big fan of the use of:

• Simplicity 
• Pastel Colours
• Use of human features 
• Block Colours

I thought that studying the lyrics of the song may give an indication of the tone of voice of the song and potential inspiration for the use of design and tone of voice within my album cover. 

Highlighted in green is the words and lines that stand out to me, elements that I may take to create the inspiration for my album cover.

THINGS TO TAKE AWAY FROM THIS
The clear themes that run through the songs including:

• Love and Loss
• The desire and longing for someone but not being able to have them.
• The use of colour and gradients within the music video along with shape and block colour, this is definetely something that I'd like to consider the use of within my album cover.
