More Collages

After a long break from extended practice over christmas and during context of practice, I thought it would be helpful to get back into idea generation by experimenting with collage and imagery as I was before.

I found this a really helpful way to begin to explore the aesthetics and imagery that I enjoy so much.

I try not to think too much about the end result and instead look at how the images contrast each other. 

I'm going to extended these collages by re working them into moving imagery and GIFS in order to see how their meaning can be changed yet again.

I really enjoy this process, I find that I don't need to much pre planning in order create the work that I want to create, with no particular meaning set out.

I like the idea of the work being able to create its own meaning.

A strange lost feeling

I'm feeling a bit confused and lost at where my extended practice work is going.
After a long break from this module whilst I have been focused on context of practice it feels very random to come back to.

Reflecting on what I have created so far, the elements that i have enjoyed the most?

• creating things with the laser cutter.
• making gifs from anything, crazy collage, post modern imagery, things that arent meant to be next to each other, aesthetics.

I'm really enjoying it but it feels so out of place and almost too random, maybe I need an end point, a goal like a book or a film or maybe both?

At the moment, I'm going to continue creating and making gifs and collages based on my hand drawn and cut work, I feel that this is the best method for me to understand where my practice is heading in this module.

I have enjoyed working to the two small briefs that I have done but I don't feel that I want to continue working with this. 

Felt Tip Roughs / Sketches / Ideas

I have been using a method of idea generation that I have been finding a really helpful way to consider different potential animations of imagery that I could explore further. 

Although I started this method of creation in a way that wasnt supposed to be at all reminded or particularly realistic in any way, I have ended up really liking and enjoying the way that these images look.

I particularly like the bleed through to the other pages from the images.

I think these would look really effective in some form of publication. 

I think it would be really effective to somehow combine this method of idea generation and image making with other forms of media including collage and digital works.

I don't know what these images are going towards yet but I feel that they are all heading to a project that will combine a plethora of objects, imagery and ideas.
